After a little over a month of absence, the Filons basketball D-1 of Cégep de Thetford were back in front of their fans to receive a visit from the Griffons of Cégep de l’Outaouais.
The Thetford troupe won easily 96-52 to end a streak of six straight losses. Ulrich Larochel with 22 points, Jayden Larosilière 18 and Michael Mukuna 17 points led the Filons attack.
Inspired by this performance, the Filons repeated the feat on Sunday, scoring an 87-50 triumph as they visited the Champlain St-Lambert College Cavaliers. The squad led by Alex Katahwa took the lead early in the game and never trailed thereafter.
This second consecutive victory was notably made possible thanks to the offensive brilliance of Jayden Larosilière and Patrick Nlend who scored 23 and 18 points respectively.
