Czech tennis players Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova have celebrated their seventh Grand Slam tournament victory in doubles.
The successful duo prevailed in the final of the Australian Open against the Japanese Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara 6: 4, 6: 3 and thus successfully defended their title from the previous year.
For Krejcikova/Siniakova it was the 24th win in a row at a major tournament. In the previous year, in addition to the Australian Open, they also triumphed in Wimbledon and the US Open. The doubles could not compete at the French Open because of a positive corona test by Krejcikova – who was also a single winner in Paris.
