NEC midfielder Oussama Tannane is suspended for three games after his red card in the Gelderse derby against Vitesse (0-0) on Sunday. The Nijmegen club accepted on Monday the settlement proposal of a four-match suspension, one of which is conditional.
The eleven-time Moroccan international was sent off the field in GelreDome after just over twenty minutes by referee Danny Makkelie, because he made a striking move in a duel with Kacper Kozlowski and hit the Pole lightly.
It was already the third red card in the Eredivisie for Tannane, who previously played for sc Heerenveen, Heracles Almelo, FC Utrecht and Vitesse.
Due to his suspension, Tannane will miss the home games of NEC against FC Emmen (January 21) and Sparta Rotterdam (January 28) and the away game with Feyenoord (January 25).
Rensch misses Classic due to suspension
Ajax defender Devyne Rensch received a settlement proposal of one match suspension and Ajax accepted it. He was sent off against FC Twente (0-0) on Saturday because he knocked down Ricky van Wolfswinkel, who had broken through.
The single Orange-international was injured in that action and left the field on a stretcher. Rensch will miss the Classic on Sunday in Rotterdam against Feyenoord due to his suspension.
Fortuna Sittard midfielder Dogan Erdogan of Fortuna Sittard was suspended for two games, plus a conditional suspension of a game. The Turk had to leave the field with a red card (2-2) against PSV on Sunday, because he hit Luuk de Jong with his high leg. It was already Erdogan’s second red card this season.
