Strasbourg confirms its good momentum after its victory against Bourg-en-Bresse

Strasbourg continues on its good momentum after beating Bourg-en-Bresse (89-80) this Sunday, as part of the 19th day of Betclic Elite. The Alsatians have signed a fifth success in their last six Championship meetings, which allows them to go back to 7th and be in the race for the play-offs.

Only one victory in six matches for Bourg

Yet Bourg-en-Bresse had started the game well and was even in the lead at half-time (49-43), especially following a good second quarter (26-15). But the trend was completely reversed when they left the locker room and Strasbourg took the lead until the final whistle, notably under the impetus of Rodions Kurucs (16 points at 6/9) and Paul Lacombe (19 points at 8 /12).

For Frédéric Fauthoux’s men, the last few weeks have not been ideal: a victory (by one point against Fos-sur-Mer, 69-68, on January 14) over the last six meetings. With this setback, they fall back to 10th place before facing Brescia in the Eurocup on Tuesday then receiving Limoges next Saturday (8 p.m.) in the Championship.
