After Qatar is before Garmisch-Partenkirchen – at least for ARD presenter Lea Wagner (28).
In the Sportschau team she is a real top performer. After her first World Cup in Qatar, she is currently hosting the Four Hills Tournament on ARD alongside expert Sven Hannawald (48).
Football fans also know their father David (51). From July 2019 to September 2020 he coached Schalke 04 in the Bundesliga. Now he is about to return to England.
New job for Lea Wagner’s dad?
Relegated Norwich City has the German-American on its list of candidates to succeed the recently sacked Dean Smith (51).
Wagner has a very good reputation in England from his time at Huddersfield Town (November 2015 to January 2019), led the traditional club to promotion to the Premier League in 2017 and managed to stay up in the first season. In his subsequent stations at Schalke and at the Young Boys Bern, however, things were less successful.
He would be the second German coach at Norwich after Daniel Farke (46), who had been promoted to the Premier League twice with the “canaries”.
Norwich is in seventh place in the Championship, the second English division, after 26 match days and is already 14 points behind a direct promotion place. Places three to six play off the third promoted team in play-off games.
