Rockets beat T-wolves to end 13-game losing streak

HOUSTON (AP) — Jalen Green scored a career-high 42 points and the Houston Rockets held on to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 119-114 on Monday night, snapping a 13-game losing streak.

Green, the second pick in the 2021 Draft, had 21 points in the first half and kept up his good run in the second half to lead the Rockets to their first win since Dec. 26 in Chicago.

With this victory they ended the longest losing streak of the season and also a string of 10 defeats at home. Their last win at home came on December 13 against Phoenix.

Anthony Edwards had 31 points and D’Angelo Russell tied his season high with 30 for the Timberwolves, who had won two in a row.

The Rockets clung to a one-point lead before Green scored the next five points and finished with a 3-pointer to put the Rockets up 105-99 with two minutes left.
