Rob Gronkowski criticizes Aaron Rodgers for preferring the MVP over the Super Bowl

the future of Aaron Rodgers with the Green Bay Packers is in doubt and the quarterback recently said that can still compete at a good level in the NFL with chances of getting the MVP award if you are in the right situation.

Those comments resonated with the NFL community and former player Rob Gronkowski was critical of the priorities of the still Packers quarterback.

“I agree with a lot of things that he said, except for the main part, and that’s the MVP part again,” Gronk said on the Up and Adams podcast. “I think ‘I think he could win another Super Bowl’ and then that would be fine. Who thinks of the MVP? Don’t want Super Bowls? Super Bowls are five times better than MVP awards”.

Rodgers has only won one Super Bowl., the XLV edition against the Pittsburgh Steelers. While Gronkowski won four Vince Lombardi trophies, three with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“We all know that you won the MVP several times, but everyone would know even more how many times you won the super bowl over the MVP”said the former Pats and Bucs player.

Since he won the Super Bowl, A-Rod has led the Packers to four NFC Championship Games, but hasn’t been able to return to the big game..

Shaun O’Hara, a two-time ring winner with the New York Giants, also criticized Rodgers’ attitude on individual awards.

“What bothers me when I hear that interview is ‘Yes, I think I can win an MVP again’ and not ‘I want to win a Lombardi,'” said the now host of Good Morning Football.
