Risk. Medals and distinctions for the archery club of Saint-Martin-d’Armagnac

A weekend with great performances and rewards has just taken place for the archery club of Saint-Martin-d’Armagnac. The latter participated, on the Auscitain shooting range, in two different championships over these two days: competition in adapted sport and competition in recurve bow.

The club, affiliated with the French Federation of adapted sport, has just qualified 6 archers for the Occitanie regional championship which will take place soon in Castres. A rich podium for the club with Nicole and Franck in a barebow, without a sight, and Bernard and Thierry ranked 6th and 7th respectively. With a physical and/or mental handicap, these athletes have proven their desire to succeed, thus showing that archery is a sport within everyone’s reach. It is “a great pride” for President Philippe Iza.

A satisfaction that continued the next day as 11 archers took part in the departmental indoor championship, winning 5 gold medals: in recurve, Agathe Lalanne (U11) and Jade Gontard (U13); in compound bow, Lyia Legrand (U18), Mathilde Figadère (senior) and Thierry Pinsard (senior III). Great places also for many archers, including Enzo Bernard (2nd in U15) in recurve bow and Guillen Iza (2nd in U18) in compound bow or Antonia Colombo (2nd in adult) in barebow.
