Red Bull presents new car Verstappen on February 3 in New York | formula 1

On February 3, Red Bull will pull the curtain on the RB19, the car with which Max Verstappen wants to defend his Formula 1 world title in 2023, the Austrian racing team announced on Friday. The presentation will take place in New York.

The RB19 is then put through its paces for the first time during winter testing in Bahrain. They will be held from February 23 to 25 at the Sakhir International Circuit. A week later the new season starts on the same track.

Verstappen became world champion for the second time with Red Bull in 2022, despite the initial opposition from Ferrari and his teammate Sergio Pérez. The Mexican will again be the second driver next to the Limburger in 2023. In addition, Red Bull recruited Daniel Ricciardo as a reserve driver.

Honda will supply the power source in the back of the Red Bull until 2025. Although the engine was registered as Red Bull Powertrains (RBPT) last year, the engine factory set up by the team itself focuses on the power source of 2026. Until then, the engines come from Japan, and the registration is therefore formally RBPT in 2023 -Honda. The Honda stickers already returned to the car last season.

Other teams have already announced when they will present the new car. Ferrari does that on February 14, Mercedes a day later on February 15.

The 2023 season will have 23 races. A 24th Grand Prix may also be added if a replacement for the canceled Chinese GP is found. The organization behind that race is also making an attempt to return to the calendar.
