RECOMMENDED for everyone? (Self-defense)? (Health and Medicine, Psychology, Sport)

Servus, briefly to me.

Male, 18 years old, 1.95 m tall and about 90 kg in weight. body is average.

I’ve been considering getting into martial arts for a long time now as I’ve only gone to the gym to lose weight and build muscle (I used to be fat).

However, I don’t see my goal in a great body. I want to be able to defend myself and form a unit with my body. I don’t know if that sounds strange, maybe you get what I mean.

I’ve read a little and Krav Maga is said to be great for self-defense. However, Muay Thai is also supposed to be good for it and Thai boxing is also easy for me to be honest.

I’m less interested in “only boxes”, why is another topic.

It is important to me that the whole thing can help me in a dangerous situation and that I don’t have to be afraid of being beaten up. I don’t want to be intimidated either.

Do you have any recommendation? Can I use my size somewhere or is it more of a disadvantage?
