Real Sociedad, Sevilla and Mallorca settle their round of 16 matches

Seville, Real Sociedad and Mallorca certified their pass to the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey this Wednesday, against Linares, Logroñés and Pontevedra, respectively. Javier Aguirre’s pupils were the ones who suffered the most, even contesting extra time at the Pasarón stadium. Abdón Prats and Muriqi tipped the balance in favor of the vermillions in extra time.

Sevilla, for their part, passed over Linares with a very plugged-in En-Nesyri, who scored a hat-trick. Lamela and Gastón, with their own goal, completed the Seville win 0-5 at the Linarejos stadium.

Real Sociedad beat Logroñés by a minimum in a match where Imanol Alguacil’s men were the owners of the ball and enjoyed chances to close the game early, but finally Robert Navarro’s goal in the first period was enough to seal their qualification to the round of 16 final.

Intercity-Barcelona and Alavés-Valladolid are already at stake, the last matches of the day on Wednesday.

Results:

Pontevedra 0-2 Mallorca

Logroñés 0-1 Real Sociedad

Linares 0-5 Seville
