Real Madrid already knows the route to follow to win their fifth Club World Cup. The white team has three possible rivals in their semifinal duel: Seattle Sounders, representative of Concacaf, Al Ahly, runner-up in Africa, or New Zealand’s Auckland City. These last two will meet in a preliminary tie, and the winner will play the pass to the semifinals with the Sounders. The best of all of them will play with Madrid for a place in the final.
On the other side of the draw, Brazilian Flamengo, the other big favorites for the title, will face the winner of Wydad Casablanca-Al Hilal, African and Asian champions, respectively, in their semi-final.
The first semifinal, that of Flamengo, will be played on February 7. Real Madrid will debut in the tournament on February 8.
The final will be played on February 11.
