Rayo wins again with Falcao on the field

Rayo Vallecano returned to victory. They defeated Villarreal by the slightest difference as a visitor and with Falcao García entering after 75 minutes. Johan Mojica did the same at 85 minutes into the game. Sergio Camello was the author of the only goal of the commitment where the Vallecas team took all three points.

Those led by Andoni Iraola sought to open the wings with the speed of Isi Palazón and Andrés Martín. They approached the arch of the Yellow Submarine on several occasions, but the figure of Jorgensen appeared to keep zero on his fence. Sergio Camello had an unbeatable option, but his shot did not have the desired destination.

With the passing of the minutes, the locals were better accommodating on the grass and had a couple of dangerous counterattacks in Chukwueze who took the visiting defense badly. However, the first half went goalless at halftime.

Falcao and Mojica enter to play in the second half

The scoring opened 70 minutes into the game after a collective play by the visit from the left wing. Camel ran alone with the ball in the opposite field and goalkeeper Jorgensen hesitated at the start, which gave the attacker the opportunity to shoot at will and put the ball away.

About 76 minutes Iraola decided to give way to Falcao García instead of Sergio Camello in the attack front. The forward was present in important triangulations of Rayo Vallecano and he could have had an option to score, but the ball touched his hand and the central judge called a foul against him.

Mojica entered the commitment at 85 minutes instead of Alberto Moreno. He had a couple of breaks down the left and crossed the ball for the Villarreal attackers, although goalkeeper Dimitrievski was quite confident when securing the ball with his hands.

With this win, Rayo Vallecano reaches 29 units, remains in seventh place in the standings and its next rival will be Almería on Monday, February 6. Villarreal is fifth in the ranking with 31 points and on the next day they will face Elche on February 4.
