Rastorgujev wins 21st place in the sprint, Mise qualifies for the pursuit

Despite one extra penalty lap, Bae was once again clearly fastest, finishing in 22 minutes and 44.1 seconds. The second place, also with one unshot target, was taken by Sweden’s Martin Ponsilouma, who lost 31.4 seconds, while Norwegian Sturla Holm Lægreid, who shot flawlessly, was another 5.9 seconds behind.

While lying down, all three Latvians shot flawlessly, but in standing shooting, only Mise closed all the targets, while Rastorgujevs and Birkenthals made two mistakes each. After the first firing line, Rastroguyev had even the fifth best result.

Rastorgujev lost one minute and 48.3 seconds to Be at the finish, showing the 16th fastest step on the track. Mies was two minutes and 34.3 seconds behind for a career best, while Birkenthal was three minutes and 23.5 seconds behind.

98 biathletes started in the sprint.
