Premier League: Haaland hat-trick – dream goals in England’s top game | Sports

Goal gala in the top game!

Leaders Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-2 after a spectacular last-minute tie. Striker Eddie Nketiah decides the game with a brace.

But the guests set the first highlight in the 17th minute of the game. After Arsenal lost the ball in their own half, Marcus Rashford gets the ball, dribbles through and then pulls the hammer out from over 20 meters!

0:1 – the cold shower for the leaders. England striker Rashford is currently “on fire” – scoring for United for the ninth time in their last nine competitive games.

But Arsenal quickly finds an answer. Only seven minutes after conceding, the offensive efforts are rewarded. After a nice combination, Granit Xhaka can cross unhindered from the left and finds striker Eddie Nketiah in the middle, who only has to head in from close range. The compensation!

At the beginning of the second half, Arsenal kept up the steam – and turned the game around with a dream goal.

53 minutes: Bukayo Saka imitates Rashford, suddenly steps forward and shoots from long range with his strong left foot – direct goal to make it 2-1!

This time United responds – thanks to a Tor gift. Arsenal keeper Aaron Ramsdale fails to grab a corner from Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez dusts off with a diving header. Compensation again – which lasts until the final minute. Then Nketiah makes his second goal – and the Arsenal victory clear.

The league leaders are five points ahead of Manchester City, who have already played a game more.

What a BVB game 7-goal madness & lots of emotions!

Previously, goalscorer Erling Haaland (22) had scored three goals in pursuit of City alone in a 3-0 home win over Wolverhampton.

The Norwegian has 25 goals this season – after only 19 league appearances. The historic Premier League record is held by Liverpool’s Mo Salah (30), who snapped 32 times after 38 match days in 2017/18. Probably only a matter of time before Haaland also snatches this record.

Haaland has already broken a Premier League mark from Cristiano Ronaldo. With four hat-tricks now in his first England season, he has one more than the Portuguese superstar has scored on the island.
