Police have charged a fan who assaulted Arsenal’s goalkeeper after the London derby

Police have charged a Tottenham fan who assaulted Arsenal’s victorious goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale after Sunday’s derby. This was reported by the Reuters agency.

Ramsdale contributed to Arsenal’s 2-0 win and was first attacked by home striker Richarlison after the game. Subsequently, the English representative was kicked in the back by a fan who got through the organizers to the advertising panel behind the gate.

Police today charged 35-year-old Joseph Watts with assaulting Ramsdale, trespassing on the playground and throwing objects on the lawn. He is due to appear at Highbury Crown Court on February 17.

Watts was identified thanks to cameras at Tottenham’s stadium. In addition, the London club said that the fan will be banned from entering the stadium and will deal with other harsh sanctions with Arsenal and Ramsdale.
