Compared to the blockade of the A1, “the Police are working to acquire all the elements to identify the greatest number of perpetrators. I have issued a decree banning the travel of the two Roma and Napoli fans for two months. In general, we will strengthen the assessments also in relation to the risks associated with the movement of the various fans”. Thus, in an interview with Il Messaggero, the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi.

The minister then addresses the issue of violence against health workers: “We will launch an initiative in the next few days to strengthen or establish police garrisons starting from the most important hospital complexes. We will start from the capital and then we will dedicate ourselves to the other large cities”.

Speaking of youth gangs, “it is necessary to operate at the root of the phenomena, also involving the institutions with more specific functions in the field of discomfort. Law enforcement cannot be based exclusively on repression”. The minister also addresses the issue of malamovida and announces “a planning of extraordinary checks. Socialization must not be to the detriment of public peace and security”.

Piantedosi then tackles the case of the Rome police without passwords to trace the license plates: “I shared with the mayors the opportunity to start a reflection on the reform of the local police. A working group, in which the Anci will also participate, will launch business soon”.

On the case of the girl stabbed at Termini and in general on security in the stations: “We have launched tight controls in Rome. This initiative will also be extended immediately to Milan and Naples”. On irregular immigration: “We fight by stopping departures before landings. Tomorrow I will be in Turkey and then, with Tajani, we will go to Tunisia and Libya. We want to share intense bilateral cooperation and operational support with these countries to stop departures At the same time, we want to guarantee regular entry channels. The first application of our Decree resulted in behavior by NGOs that complied with the rules. In recent days, the number of people brought by these organizations has decreased without this affecting the rescue machine”.
