Persib player, Beckham Putra, executed a penalty in the first half of the match against Persija in League 1, Wednesday (11/1/2023) at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium.

BOLASPORT.COM – Persib Bandung was originally scheduled to face Bhayangkara FC in the first match of the second round of League 1 2022/2023.

Persib’s duel against Bhayangkara FC took place today, Monday (16/1/2023) at the Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Cikarang, Bekasi.

However, the duel between the two teams was canceled because they did not get permission from the local security forces.

Persib Director, Teddy Tjahjono explained that the postponement had something to do with Persija’s match against Bali United.

You see, the Persija vs Bali United match was held in the same city, namely at the Patriot Candra Bhaga Stadium, on Sunday (15/1/2023) yesterday.

“Yes, because on the same day there is Persija versus Bali, right, because the location between Patriot is in Bekasi and Wibawa Mukti in Cikarang,” Teddy said as quoted by kompas.com.

“There will definitely be a mobilization of supporters from both sides, that’s at the border, so in terms of security this is avoided for fear of unwanted potential clashes,” Teddy added.

Wibawa Mukti Stadium is Persib Bandung’s new headquarters for the second round of League 1 2022/2023.

Maung Bandung had to become a traveling team because they were expelled from the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium (GBLA).
