Oviedo rescinds Miguelón’s loan and looks for the right-back market

The “exit operation” of Oviedo claimed its second victim yesterday, with the termination of the assignment contract that united Miguelón Llambrich with the blue team. The lack of continuity in Cervera’s plans has caused the parties to consider that separating the paths is the best possible way out. Oviedo, which had planned a market focused on the offensive focus, now sees the plans altered and searches the market in search of a candidate for the released place. The club has been interested in recent days for Juanfran, a 34-year-old Málaga winger, whom his club is trying to terminate. He is not the only one on the list.

Miguelón’s stage in Oviedo has come to an end prematurely. He arrived in the summer as a clear candidate for the right-handed lane of the defense, endorsed by his performance in the Second division both in Huesca and in Espanyol, with which he achieved two promotions to the top flight. The jump in category of the Catalans, however, had cut off his progression and there the main enemy that has been found in Oviedo began to emerge: injuries.

Muscular problems have marked his time in Asturias. Some discomfort that prevented him from debuting until the sixth day of the League and that made him stop again after the eighth date, in the clash against Cartagena. Precisely the team with which he will play the second round.

Their absences have been taken advantage of by Lucas Ahijado to become indisputable in the right-handed lane. The youth squad player is going through the best moment of his career and has not given Miguelón an option to open a gap when he has been healthy. The panorama did not seem to be able to be clarified with the arrival of Cervera, delighted with the performance of Lucas. Hence the footballer and his club, Espanyol, have asked for his departure.

Miguelón’s participation in the Carbayón team has been limited to 122 minutes in the League in four games, only one as a starter.

At first, Oviedo did not count on touching their defense in the current winter market. The movements were designed for the offensive front, with the need to incorporate a winger (Leo Sequeira), a striker and a pivot. But the sports management has preferred to release Miguelón, release his file and save the proportional part of his salary paid. Now, you will have to look for a side that fills his vacancy.

Wanted side

Because the intention is to sign a winger who competes with Lucas for the position. The club does not want to risk having a single team, as a natural position (Tarín or Viti have also played in the position on some occasions), in the face of such demanding competition. The club handles several alternatives, although it is in no hurry to play its cards. In recent days, Oviedo has been in contact with Juanfran Moreno, a 34-year-old winger whom Málaga is trying to terminate because he does not fit into Mel’s plans.

It is one of the options, although an agreement should first be reached between Málaga and the footballer, who does not even participate in the friendlies of Mel’s team. There is still no understanding for his departure as it is being negotiated what part of his salary the Andalusian club will have to pay, which had signed with the winger after he passed through Turkish football until June 30. Precisely from Turkey there also comes some interest in the current Málaga footballer.
