The Xàtiva Badminton Club played last Saturday the second day of the Sports Games of the Valencian Community in the cadet categorya day in which the Setabenses achieved outstanding results, adding 75% victories in the doubles event and 54% in the singles event. Sarai Ramón, Andrea Orquín, Selenia Pla, Marcos and Jesús Cimas stood out, who achieved full victories, with four wins in this second day of the Jocs, which was held in the Francisco Ballester de Xàtiva municipal pavilion.
From the club they have highlighted the good role of the setabenses players, with “expected results for the most ‘veteran’ athletes in this competition and learning for new athletes who started in this type of school competitions”. The appointment in the capital of the Costera brought together 71 athletes from the Valencian Community of the sub-15 and sub-17 categories.
Next Saturday, January 28, the second day of the Sports Games will be held in Enguerain this case for athletes from the juvenile category. The Jaime Alegre municipal pavilion in the town of Canal de Navarrés will host this new event, which will bring together some 50 athletes from the sub-11 and sub-13 categories, including some 12 players from the Xàtiva Badminton Club.
