Erik ten Hag is “out of patience” waiting for Jadon Sancho’s fitness, but will not “force” the Manchester United winger to return.
- Sancho was forced to train alone
- Not yet clear when to return to Manchester United
- The Ten Hag ran out of patience
WHAT HAPPENED?
Winger Englishman Jadon Sancho was dropped from Manchester United’s main squad at the World Cup break. He was forced to be absent from the training camp in Spain in order to carry out special training alone to restore his fitness.
Sancho has indeed returned to Carrington, but has yet to appear in a competitive match for The Red Devils since October 22, 2022 after conditions that have continued to decline.
KATA TEN HAG SOAL SANCHO:
When asked again about when Sancho would return to the MU squad, Ten Hag replied: “I want him back as soon as possible.”
“But I can’t force this process. I have to show patience, even if my patience is running out because we lack options up front. When fit, Jadon is a player who can contribute, so we have additional options so our chances of winning increase .”
“There are still a few hurdles to overcome, but I think he’s in the right direction. I can’t force this process, so I won’t force it.”
THE SITUATION:
Sancho is still unable to show his best performance consistently for Man United since being recruited for a price £75m from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021 – with just eight goals and four assists in 52 appearances across competitions.

NEXT FOR MANCHESTER UNITED:
When Sancho was absent for a long time, Man United’s collective performance actually improved sharply and only swallowed one defeat in the last 16 matches. They hope that this momentum will help them make a positive start in the 2022/23 FA Cup, when they host Everton in the third round, Friday (7/1) in the morning WIB.
