Jessie Lemonier, a former NFL player, died Thursday at the age of 25.
“We are shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of former Detroit Lions player Jessie Lemonier. Jessie was an exemplary teammate and a wonderful young man who left too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends at this difficult time,” the Detroit Lions, Lemonier’s last NFL team, wrote on social media.
Quoted by ESPN, the ‘linebacker’ agent, Drew Smith, revealed that the young man and his girlfriend were going to be parents. As of now, the cause of death has not been disclosed.
This season, Jessie Lemonier, who also represented the Los Angeles Chargers in the NFL, was preparing to play for the Birmingham Stallions, of the USFL – United States Football League.
