A person briefed on Hamlin’s schedule had told theAssociated Presson Sunday that Hamlin planned to attend the game in person. This source then indicated that the “plans may have changed”.
This person had spoken to theAssociated Press under the seal of confidentiality because Hamlin has kept his schedule and recovery private since being discharged from a Buffalo hospital on Wednesday.
Hamlin visited teammates at Bills Stadium on Saturday, but he has not been seen in public since being evacuated from the field in Cincinnati in an ambulance on January 2. He spent more than a week in hospital, most of the time in critical condition.
Bills executives had not released details of Hamlin’s plans for the game.
