“There has been some speculation about Mitchell’s return to Utah, but the two go hand-in-hand. The first is jazz’s offseason saga, which eventually led Mitchell and him to end up in Cleveland.

Second – and more prominently – he addressed Mitchell’s use of his platform speaking about racial inequality and showing support for movements focused on racial equality. During his five years in Salt Lake City, Mitchell spoke out continuously, to varying degrees, on a range of issues related to social justice, racism, and equality.

“I really want to point out the fact that when I address what I’m addressing, I’m not addressing everyone. And I think that’s something that gets lost in the mess. said Mitchel. “It’s easy to emphasize the negative. We live in a world where everything is guided by them. But at the end of the day we’ve done a lot of good, man, and I think that’s something I always want to pay attention to. But I will not stop using my voice as I see fit.”

“It’s not every fan; it’s not everyone’ repeated Mitchell. ‘But there are things I see and here that I didn’t address in the interview and didn’t want to address because I knew how much of a reaction it would get on social media. ‘”
