NBA: Brooklyn Nets slip

Without stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the Brooklyn Nets lost their third straight NBA game and slipped a bit in the Eastern Conference.

98-106 at the San Antonio Spurs saw the Nets lose second place in the East to the Milwaukee Bucks, who won their home game against the Toronto Raptors 130-122. Because the Philadelphia 76ers beat the LA Clippers 120-108, the Nets are now fourth.

Durant missed the third game in a row with a knee injury, while Irving had to sit out with a calf problem. The Bucks also had to do without their star, Giannis Antetokounmpo missed the fourth game in a row due to knee problems. However, Milwaukee was also able to prevail thanks to Jrue Holiday’s 35 points. Joel Embiid had 41 points in the 76ers.

Meanwhile, in the Western Conference, the Denver Nuggets took the lead for at least a day. It was 122-113 against the Toronto Trail Blazers. The Nuggets have one more win than the Memphis Grizzlies, who play again on Wednesday evening (local time).
