With an outstanding performance, Giannis Antetokounmpo secured victory for his Milwaukee Bucks. Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers can hope for a comeback from German international Daniel Theis.

Basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo (28) led the Milwaukee Bucks to their next victory in the NBA with another exceptional performance.

The Greek scored 50 points in the 135-110 against the New Orleans Pelicans, just missing his career high. It was the Bucks’ fourth win in a row, and the team remains third in the Eastern Conference en route to the playoffs.

NBA: Memphis Grizzlies stop negative series

Antetokounmpo broke the 50-point mark for the second time this season, having only improved his own record with 55 points against the Washington Wizards in early January. He also contributed 13 rebounds against the Pelicans, and the win was never in danger.

In the Western Conference, however, the Memphis Grizzlies stopped their downward trend. After five defeats in a row, the Indiana Pacers scored 112:100. Ja Morant (23) stood out with a triple-double: 27 points, 15 assists, 10 rebounds.

All NBA games on Monday night (January 30, 2023) at a glance:

  • Milwaukee Bucks – New Orleans Pelicans: 135:110
  • Cleveland Cavaliers – Los Angeles Clippers: 122:99
  • Memphis Grizzlies – Indiana Pacers: 112:100

The Grizzlies consolidated second place in the West. The German national player Daniel Theis (30) is still missing from the Pacers after his knee operation, but a comeback is now at least foreseeable. (sid)
