On Tuesday, police officers arrested the mask millionaire Andrea Tandler (39). The daughter of the former Bavarian Minister of Finance Gerold Tandler (86) immediately went into custody – together with her partner Darius N. (50).

According to BILD information, Tandler has no registration address. That means: risk of escape! Hence the detention. The commercial criminal law expert, Wirecard lawyer Peter Pospisil, explains when asked by BILD: “If there is no permanent residence and there are contacts abroad, it can happen that investigative authorities secure the procedure through pre-trial detention, otherwise there is a risk of absconding would exist.” Tandler had business contacts in Switzerland. There she would not have had to fear extradition to the Bavarian investigative authorities. Anyone who moves to Switzerland is protected from this.

The trade tax there (rate at 290%, around 7 percent of the profit, editor’s note) is only half as high as in Munich. Tandler is said to have saved around 4 million euros in this way.
