For many NBA fans, Michael Jordan (59) is the greatest player of all time. The former superstar has won six NBA titles in his 13 years with the Chicago Bulls. His cooperation with the sports brand “Nike” is almost as legendary as his NBA career.
In the 1980s, the then NBA rookie decided to work with Nike. Despite initial doubts, it turned into a decades-long and incredibly lucrative cooperation. The new film “AIR” tells how the deal came about and how former Nike Executive Sonny Vaccaro managed to convince Jordan of the brand.

The official theatrical release is on April 5th. Jordan fans don’t have to wait too long anymore. And in terms of cast, the film draws attention to itself even before it opens in cinemas.
Screenwriter Ben Affleck will play Nike founder Phil Knight. Matt Damon stars as Sonny Vaccaro. With Viola Davis as Deloris Jordan, Jason Bateman as Rob Strasser, Chris Tucker as Howard White and Julius Tennon as James Jordan, there’s already reason to be excited.
