An 18 M€ + Dieng agreement
Indeed, according to information from the daily L’Equipe, the Phoenician president Pablo Longoria, present at Lorient on Tuesday, agreed with the Lorient president Loc Fery for an assignment of Moffi against a check estimated at 18 million euros, including 4 million euros in bonuses, and Marseille striker Bamba Dieng, valued at 5 million euros, in exchange.
If OM still wishes to discuss certain details with bonuses linked to qualification for the Champions League and a payment schedule, a common ground has therefore been generally established. Why did Lorient accept such conditions when the Gym has already offered, in vain, 20 million euros (including bonus) for the Nigerian? Because this formula makes it possible to reduce the guaranteed resale percentage at Moffi’s former club, Kortrijk, and to recover, at a reduced cost, his replacement with Dieng immediately.
