Football Benchmark, a platform specializing in football business, has assessed the market value of several players. The only one above 200 million euros is Kylian Mbappé, who is the most expensive player in the world according to this assessment, ahead of Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham.
PSG has an extraordinary player with Kylian Mbappé. Nothing new, but the recent study conducted by Football Benchmark, a platform specializing in the football business, demonstrates it a little more. Indeed, the Bondy native’s market value has been estimated at €210m, making him the most expensive player in the world right now.. It should be noted that no player present in the top 10 is over 24 years old, while Mbappé is the second oldest with Federico Valverde, the Real Madrid midfielder, also aged 24. Linked to PSG until 2025, Mbappé is ahead of the one who should be his “rival” for the next decade: Erling Haaland, the center forward of Manchester City. The latter’s market value has been estimated at €178m by Football Benchmark.
The PSG sixth most expensive collective in the world
The Norwegian, top scorer in the Premier League with 25 goals, was unable to show himself to the world at the last World Cup due to his country’s non-qualification. Mbappé, the tournament’s top scorer with 8 goals, met Englishman Jude Bellingham there in the quarter-finals. The midfielder completes the podium as he could join Real Madrid in the upcoming summer transfer window. Its price is estimated at 147 million euros. Just below, we find Vinicius Junior (146 million euros) and the young prodigy of Manchester City, Phil Foden, whose market value has been estimated at 139 million euros. The youngest player present in the top 10 is Gavi, the midfielder of Barça, whose price has been estimated at 123 million euros, the same as his teammate Pedri, also in this top 10 of the most expensive players of the football planet. Moreover, still according to the same source, PSG has the sixth most expensive team on the planet. The cumulative price of the entire workforce trained by Christophe Galtier peaks at 1.022 billion euros. Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are at the top of the list, ahead of Bayern Munich, future opponent of the Ligue 1 leader in the knockout stages of the Champions League (February 14 – March 8).
