Marco Asensio wanted by FC Barcelona in summer | Spanish League

Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid is still looking for a way to beat Barcelona in LaLiga. The Catalans take three points from the difference in units and remain comfortable in the first position. It will not be easy to retain it, because they know that the white box has that hierarchy and can change history in the blink of an eye.

Barcelona without Robert Lewandowski is another and he has shown it in these games with the sanction that the Pole has. For this reason, and to reinforce its lead, the club would have contacted a player from the rival team: Real Madrid. For now, they have only had contacts, since the footballer in question has been called by Florentino Pérez to renew, but there is still no agreement.

The idea that FC Barcelona has is to be able to close the summer signing of Marco Asensio, a footballer to whom they have already sent offers, especially in 2014 when 4 million separated the signing of the Spaniard with the Catalan club. Florentino Pérez wants to renew it, and Carlo Ancelotti has lately given him some games at Real Madrid. For example, against Villarreal he came on in the second half, but with Dani Ceballos he changed the face of the game, in addition to starting against Athletic Bilbao where he provided an assist for the first goal and had occasional opportunities to score.

For now, the approaches that Barcelona is having with Marco Asensio are to test how the issue of the renewal requested by the president, Florentino Pérez, is going to sit down and negotiate. Although there is still nothing guaranteed in the talks with Real Madrid, Asensio could renew and close the door on reaching FC Barcelona. Some time ago, Marco said, “the only thing I think about is Real Madrid, I’m happy there, but in the future you never know what can happen”.

As long as he does not resolve his contract, Barcelona hopes that he will be free at the end of June to be able to sign him at zero cost and in a simpler way without having to talk with Real Madrid.
