Los Cules Win the Spanish Super Cup!

Barcelona successfully crushed Real Madrid 3-1 in the Spanish Super Cup final. Los Cules also won their first trophy this season.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona presented in the Spanish Super Cup final. The duel took place at the King Fahd Stadium, Saudi Arabia, Monday (16/1/2023) in the morning WIB.

Barcelona winning 2-0 in the first half. Gavi opened the scoring in the 33rd minute and was doubled by Robert Lewandowski before halftime.

The Blaugrana added a goal in the second half through Pedri. Karim Benzema reduced the gap ahead of the final whistle.

Barcelona won 3-1 and are entitled to the Spanish Super Cup trophy. This is the Catalunya club’s first title under Xavi Hernandez.

Course of the Match

Barcelona almost opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Robert Lewandowski’s kick was pushed over by Thibaut Courtois and hit the goalpost.

Madrid returned to threaten six minutes later. Karim Benzema’s header in the penalty box still has not met the target.

GOL! Barcelona broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute. Gavi made his name on the scoreboard.

Starting from foot to foot, the ball was then sent by Lewandowski to Gavi who was standing free. The young Blaugrana star easily beat Courtois and brought his team a 1-0 lead.

GOL! Barcelona doubled their advantage before halftime. This time it was Lewandowski’s turn to score against Madrid.

The Polish bomber scored a tap-in goal using Gavi’s cross from the left. Barcelona winning 2-0 in the first half.

Real Madrid tried to catch up in the second half. Instead of scoring a goal, Los Blancos actually conceded in the 69th minute.

GOL! Barcelona scored the third goal through Pedri. The Spanish national team star hit Gavi’s bait.

Madrid almost scored in the 80th minute through Rodrygo’s shot. The ball was pushed over by Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

GOL! Madrid scored a late consolation goal through Karim Benzema. The match finished 3-1 for Los Cules who came out as champions of the Spanish Super Cup.
