Liverpool star Robertson reveals: Sadio Mané was often the culprit – FC BAYERN MUNICH

This was not known until now!

Liverpool star Andrew Robertson (28) was in a chatting mood. In the club’s own podcast “The Official Liverpool FC Podcast”, the Scot also talks about his ex-teammate Sadio Mané (30). As the left-back revealed, the current Bayern star is often to blame for flight delays.

Mané played for the Reds from 2016 to 2022, becoming a world star in 269 games (120 goals). After winning the Champions League in 2019 and the championship (2020), the Senegalese said goodbye to Munich last summer. As it turns out, it wasn’t just his extraordinary achievements on the island that were remembered.

Mané’s ex-teammate Robertson on Liverpool podcast: ‘Some of the fines are expensive. If you forget your passport on a trip away from home, a large part of your salary will be deducted.”

In this context, the Scot came to speak of Bayern star Mané and said: “It has happened a few times, Sadio was often the culprit, and of course the flight and arrival are delayed. We had to impose a large fine.”

Oof! Robertson doesn’t mention how much Mané had to fork out…

Responsible for the fine at the Klopp club are Jordan Henderson (32) and vice-captain James Milner (37). Robertson: “Hendo and Millie make a lot of decisions. For example, with the fines, Millie is the penal police, he’s the one in charge. He’s been penalized once since I’ve been here.” Mané was a lot more diligent.

Mané recently resumed running training after his injury at FC Bayern. As Munich announced on Tuesday, the Senegalese attacker did a few laps around the training ground.

Mané suffered a tendon rupture on his right fibula head at the beginning of November and therefore missed the World Cup in Qatar. Munich hope that the star striker will be ready for action again by the first leg of the Champions League on February 14 at Paris Saint-Germain.
