Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray won’t be back in time to start the 2023 campaign with his teammates.

This was reported by the NFL Network on Sunday. The ‘Cards’ organization want their 25-year-old to be fully recovered from the serious knee injury he suffered before returning to the field.

During the 14th week of activities in 2022, Murray tore the anterior cruciate ligament in one of his knees. This obviously ended the footballer’s fourth season in the NFL.

In 11 games in 2022, he completed 66.4% of his passes for 2,368 yards and 14 touchdowns. The first-ever pick in the 2019 draft also had 418 yards and three majors on carries.

Murray is seen as the present and the future of the Cardinals, having signed a five-year contract extension worth a total of $230.5 million last July.

The “Cards” concluded a difficult 2022 season with a 3-13 record and head coach Kliff Kingsbury was fired.
