Aamodt Kilde won the second downhill in Kitzbühel. Frenchman Johan Clarey finishes on the podium.

The Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde confirmed that he remained the king of speed by winning the second descent of Kitzbühel on Saturday ahead of the Frenchman Johan Clarey, on the podium for the fourth time in this discipline on the legendary Streif.

Kilde won his seventh victory of the season, and his fifth downhill, beating Clarey by 67/100 and American Travis Ganong by 95/100. Catching up in style after missing out on Friday during the first descent, the Norwegian colossus asserts its domination in the classification of the specialty ahead of the Austrian Vincent Kriechmayr, 5th on Saturday after winning the first descent on Friday.

In the general classification of the World Cup, Kilde (961 pts) thus fills a little behind the Swiss Marco Odermatt (1186 pts), resting this Saturday due to knee pain. With his second place, Clarey signs his second podium of the season and his third consecutive in Kitzbühel after having already finished second in 2021 and 2022.
