The Elcano Nautical Center will host this Tuesday the signing of the agreement with the Cádiz City Council for the celebration of the 50th edition of the Raúl Calvo Judo Memorial, which after returning to the Tacita de Plata in 2022 with an event that was a complete success, prepares the special event this year, the golden wedding anniversary, with the enthusiasm and professionalism required by the prestigious competition.
The event will be attended by the mayor of the capital of Cádiz, José María González; the Councilor for Sports, José Ramón Páez; the president of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), Alejandro Blanco; the president of the Royal Spanish Federation of Judo and Associated Sports (RFEJYDA), Juan Carlos Barcos, and the president of the Andalusian Federation of Judo and Associated Sports (FANJYDA), Carlos Calvo.
The day’s program will begin at 9:30 a.m. with a reception at the Town Hall and signing in the book of honor. At 10:00 a.m., a visit to the Ippon Raúl Calvo facilities is scheduled, in the future Raúl Calvo street, currently Dorotea. At 10:30 a.m. there will be a visit to the Ciudad de Cádiz Sports Complex, the scene of the most important judo events that take place in Cádiz. And at 11:00, transfer to Elcano to visit the facilities and later, about 11:30sign the agreement of the 50 Raúl Calvo Memorial, after which a press conference will be offered.
