Judicial scrivener Yasuhiro Hiyama (2) The difference between baseball and judicial scrivener “The landing point of the current job is decided” | Baseball | Nikkan Gendai DIGITAL

Judicial scrivener Yasuhiro Hiyama (age 55, Kintetsu→Korean professional baseball)

“It’s a qualification that even high school graduates can get, and it was the most difficult one.

When Mr. Hiyama was 27 years old, two years after retiring from active duty, he decided to obtain a qualification as a judicial scrivener, thinking, “Is there a job where I can focus on myself?”

After retiring, he quit the clothing-related company he worked for and started training at a judicial scrivener office introduced by an acquaintance, as well as studying for entrance exams. Working hours are from 9am to 5pm. When I got home, I diligently studied for his qualifications.

■ Study for 1 hour a day

“I think I study for about an hour a day. Not much? I worked in the office during the day, so I had a lot of knowledge. But that’s my own sensitivity (laughs).I’ve been studying since I was a student, and I thought it was easier than baseball, which has no answers.”

At that time, it was said that it would take 3 years at the earliest to pass the judicial scrivener examination, and 6 years at the latest, and the estimated study time to obtain the qualification was 3,000 hours.
