Jon Rahmwhich recently won the American Express and matched Seve Ballesteros con nine titles on the PGA Tourgave his opinion on the figure as a professional golfer of the already ex-soccer player Gareth Bale.
The former Welsh player of Real Madrid announced on his social networks his debut as a professional golfer, which will be at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am of the PGA Tour.
Rahm, that shared nine holes with Bale in the Pro-Am Before the Farmers Insurance Open, he acknowledged in an interview that “I told Gareth that ‘you can’t be so good at professional football and golf at the same time, it just doesn’t seem fair to me.’ just one thing and having such a talent for golf. It’s not fair at all.”
“He is looking to retire soon and you can tell that he loves this sport, he loves golf and he really wants to get to play a bit more, so I hope that in the future I will see him more times in the pro-am,” said the Spanish golfer.
Bale hasn’t asked me for anything, nor should he, he’s already good enough. Like I said, being a professional footballer has nothing to do with being that good. He’s already good enough.
Rahm explained that Bale did not ask him for any advice and made it clear that “he has not asked me for anything, nor should he, he is already good enough. As I said, being a professional footballer has nothing to do with being that good. It is already the good enough”.
The moment Bale practices more, he will improve a lot. He is a very, very good player
“The moment he practices more, he will improve a lot. He is a very, very good player,” Rahm said of Gareth Bale’s evolution as a golfer.
