Sergino Dest, Malick Thiaw, Tommaso Pobega, Aster Vranckx, Yacine Adli, Charles De Ketelaere and Divock Origi. All seven came to reigning champions AC Milan in the previous transfer window. The Italian The Sports Gazette made a brief overview of their performance so far on Monday. Those of the Belgians are nothing to write home about.

Aster Vranckx: with a score of 5.83

“Interesting guy, both defensively and offensively. At 20 years old, he lacks experience, as it turned out against Roma. His impetuous intervention on Dybala resulted in the free kick for the 2-2 draw. Very few performances for him too, although he showed nice things here and there. His season numbers: Games: 6. Start: 0. Goals: 0. Assists: 0. Rating: 5.83.”

Charles De Ketelaere: with a score of 5.65

“His head – in the sense of personality – clearly does not match his velvety feet. Charles has been Milan’s big concern so far this season, also because he was the biggest incoming transfer from last mercato. More than 30 million paid to Club Brugge at the end of a grueling negotiation, but a player in whom the Rossoneri board strongly believed. Pioli can do nothing but defend him, but this is an AC Milan that can no longer afford to wait long for talent to blossom. His season numbers: games: 20. Start: 8. Minutes: 830. Goals: 0. Assists: 1. Rating: 5.65.”

Divock Origi: with a score of 5.66

“A failure all along the line. Especially considering his salary of four million euros net per season. He should have been Giroud’s alter ego, maybe even Leao’s on the flank. He has experience and a rich background. The reality at the Rossoneri only looks less rosy, because he struggles from one physical problem to another and, moreover, Divock had already arrived sick from Liverpool in the summer. Contribution so far: almost nil. His season numbers: Games: 14. Starting position: 4. Minutes: 505. Goals: 1. Assists: 1. Rating: 5.66.”
