The following is the schedule for the live broadcast of the semifinals Indonesia Masters 2023 which will take place at Istora Gelora Bung Karno Jakarta, Saturday (28/1).
Indonesia sent three of its representatives to the semifinals of the 2023 Indonesia Masters. The first match will take place from 11.00 WIB.
The series of matches will be broadcast live on iNews TV. Apart from the semifinals of the Indonesia Masters 2023, you can also watch it via live streaming on RCTI+.
Indonesian men’s singles Jonatan Christie will be the first representative to compete in the semifinals. Jojo, as he is affectionately known, will face badminton player from China, Shi Yu Qi.
Jonathan is the favorite to win because he is the fourth seed. However, this fight will not be easy for Jonathan because the record for meeting the two is quite tight, even though Jonathan is 5-4.
At the last meeting, Jonathan had to admit Shi Yu Qi’s superiority. The 25-year-old badminton player lost to his opponent in two games in the last 16 of the 2020 Olympics.
After Jonathan, it’s Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo’s turn to act. Chico, who passed after getting rid of Brian Yang, this time will meet Hong Kong’s representative, Angus Ng Ka Long.
Chico may have lost head to head to Ng Ka Long, but the badminton player from Papua was able to come out victorious at the last meeting at the Malaysia Masters 2022.
The last Indonesian representative to compete will come from the men’s doubles sector. The Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin pair met with the second seeds from Japan, Takuro Hoki/Yugo Kobayashi.
Even though they are not seeded, the public’s support from Istora Gelora Bung Karno has the potential to make a difference to increase the excitement in Leo/Rolly’s performance.
