IED will support the tennis player Mayahuel Unzueta in her preparation – El Sol de Durango

Currently, Mayahuel Unzueta is one of the best tennis players, not only in Durango, but in the entire Mexican Republic, for this reason the State Sports Institute (IED) headed by Cesar Omar Cárdenas Reyes, will accompany the Durango woman in her preparation, so the sports medicine and high performance departments will collaborate with the outstanding tennis player.

In one of the best sporting moments in Mayahuel Unzueta’s career, the IED approached the tennis player to put at her disposal the departments that can detonate the continuation of the harvest of great achievements, which in recent years have given her wonderful fruits to the sport of Durango.

His parents, Marcela Gamero and Armando Unzueta, are the head of a true sports family, who have encouraged Mayahuel and his brothers (high-performance basketball players) to compete with quality and defend the colors of their state with honor.

They were the ones who accompanied the young woman, flanked by her coach José Ramón Domínguez Terrones, in a meeting in which they endorsed the commitment that the IED sports medicine department, and specifically Dr. Víctor Adrián Márquez Gurrola, join the multidisciplinary group that will lead the Durango medalist by the hand.

The promise of tennis in Mexico was born in Durango

In 2021 Unzueta Gamero was part of the San Luis Potosí Grand Slam, where alongside Sofia Valero, she won the women’s doubles championship, while in the 2021 Conade Nationals she managed to win the bronze medal; In the Jalisco 2021 National Summer Tournament, she established herself as runner-up in doubles, to mention some of her achievements.

Mayahuel dreams of participating in a Grand Slam like Wimbledon or the United States Open, and even in the Olympic Games, for this reason the Government headed by Esteban Villegas through the IED, will provide all the necessary support so that the athlete can fulfill her dreams. and provide even more satisfaction to the duranguense entity.
