Hero Cup: continental Europe increases its lead, Victor Perez still undefeated

After a morning of foursomes (two players, one ball, alternating shots) marked by two wins for both teams and a tie, maintaining a one-point gap (5.5 points to 4.5 points), the continental European team has extended their lead over the selection of the British Isles and Ireland during the afternoon foursomes.

Continental Europe notably picked up a point thanks to the pair Victor Perez – Guido Migliozzi, victorious over Seamus Power and Rob MacIntyre (3/2), and won three of the five duels of the afternoon. The Frenchman Antoine Rozner, associated with the Pole Adrian Meronk, conceded a second defeat on Saturday, against Callum Shinkwin and Matt Wallace (2/1). The team led by captain Francesco Molinari leads 8.5 points to 6.5 points going into Sunday’s matches.

Everything will be decided on the third day in Abu Dhabi, during the ten singles, and from 7:35 am French time. As for the Habs, Antoine Rozner will face Tyrrell Hatton, while Victor Perez, undefeated in three games so far, will challenge Jordan Smith. Both sides need a total of 13 points to win this Hero Cup.
