Gustavo Puerta will play for FC Nuremberg in Germany | Bayer Leverkusen signing will go on loan | Colombians Abroad

Gustavo Puerta was officially presented as a signing for the German Bayer Leverkusen, a team with which he signed a contract for five seasons, until June 30, 2028.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who belonged to Bogotá FC (Colombia’s Second Division) and was representing Colombia in the South American U-20 tournament, traveled urgently to Germany to undergo medical examinations and sign his first contract abroad.

However, Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed that they have plans for Puerta, and for this reason they will not initially play with the ‘aspirin’ team, led by Xabi Alonso.

Puerta will play on loan at FC Nuremberg, from the German Second Division, or 2. Bundesliga as that category is called.

FC Nuremberg obtained the loan of the midfielder at least until next June.

Currently, Gustavo Puerta’s new team occupies box 13 (among 18 teams) of the 2. Bundesliga, with 19 points, product of 5 wins, 4 draws and 9 losses.
