Good presentation of Colombia in the Judo Grand Prix

This week the Judo Grand Prix began in Portugal in which there was a notable participation from Colombia, it is Juan Pablo Hernández, who reached the round of 16 in his category.

The judo tournament held in Almada, Portugal, Colombian representation was given by Juan Pablo Hernández, who had a remarkable performance in the men’s 66 kilograms category.

In the round of 64, Hernández managed to beat a difficult Gustav Brovold, a Norwegian athlete after beating him with a Waza-Ari-awasete-ippon.

Then in the round of 32, he faced in a great duel against the number nine in the IJF world ranking, the Ukrainian Bogdan Iadov, where the use of ippon was key in his victories.

After having overcome this round, In the round of 16, he dueled against the South Korean An Jaehong against whom he would be defeated with a Hansokumake, but leaving a great impression regarding what remains on the IJF World Judo Tour calendar, in where points will continue to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
