France team: Small in demand more Zidane – Football

Defending the record of Didier Deschamps, recently extended as coach of the France team, his former teammate Emmanuel Petit, on the other hand, challenged Zinedine Zidane.

Petit does not make a present of his ex-co-worker.

For more than a year, following his departure from Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane wisely waited, hoping that the post of coach of the France team would become free after the 2022 World Cup.

Hardly lost since, as we know, Didier Deschamps finally extended until 2026 after a new pop until the final in Qatar.

Petit challenges Zidane

While the derogatory remarks of the president of the French Football Federation, Nol Le Grat, towards the legend shocked a lot and led to a wave of sympathy towards ZZ, his former teammate Emmanuel Petit wanted to show his difference in this file. For the RMC consultant, the ex-Real coach is not yet boxing in the same category as Deschamps.

What Zizou did is quite remarkable. But that’s over three years. Now that’s in the context of Real Madrid. I am waiting, precisely in relation to the extension of Deschamps in the French team, I would like Zidane to go train another club. That he take a risk at another club and show exactly what he could do launched the 1998 world champion. I have no doubts about his success but Deschamps is not doomed to remain in his shadow.

E. Petit – Wherever Deschamps goes, it turns to gold

The ex-midfielder then made a plea in favor of Deschamps. In terms of image, yes Zidane… But then we don’t compare them when they were players. They are compared as coaches. DD’s longevity also speaks for itself. Everywhere he went as a coach, he won. (…) Wherever he goes, it turns to gold. Longevity speaks for itself underlined Petit, referring to the passages of Deschamps Monaco (final of the Champions League 2004), Juventus Turin (raised in Serie A in 2007) and Olympique de Marseille (champion of France in 2010), before his prowess at the head of the Blues.

So many reasons that make Deschamps essential in the eyes of the 52-year-old man. And, if he wants to claim to compete with him, Zidane will, according to him, have to continue to prove himself elsewhere. Perhaps on the side of Juve where the name of the Frenchman has been circulating again in recent days…
