Eibar recognizes the work of its athletes

Recognize and praise the great work carried out throughout the year by the Eibar clubs and athletes. This is the objective of the gala that is organized annually… Eta Kitto! Euskara Elkartea. In the 27th edition of this event, which was held on the tables of the Coliseo theater at the end of 2022, the athlete who has stood out the most during the past year in each of the sports modalities that are practiced at the federated level in the gun city.

To a total of 30 rose, therefore, the number of awards presented at the ceremony that took place on December 31: Imanol Egidazu (in the discipline of athletics), Iñaki del Rey (motoring), Valentín Cabanzon (palm bolo); , Jose Angel Vicuña (rugby), Jokin Aja (handball), Ander Romarate (football), Haizeder Arguiz (rhythmic gymnastics), Eduardo Vicente (golf), Hodei Ezpeleta (rural sports), Garikoitz Rodriguez (iron weaving), Asier Gomez ( swimming, Oihana Gonzalez (judo), Xabier Sauri (jugger), Jose Antonio Hoyos (karate), Ma Eugenia Miranda (mountain), Felix Conde (ball), Alberto Arizmendiarrieta (basketball), Alberto Ferreiro (squash), Emilio Lamariano ( Olympic shooting), Esther Pagei (triathlon), Unai Fernandez (canicross), Jon Ibarluzea (cycling), Asier Etxezarraga (diving), the female direction of water polo, and Asier Perez (wushu).

75 and 50 years of activity

The Special Prize, for its part, went to the triathlete Pello Osoro, and Euskera Saria went to Amaia Ugarte. The Kirol Sariak also applauded the sports promotion and sponsorship, which in this case recognized the Eibar company Jaz Zubiaurre. In addition, the anniversaries had their leading role thanks to Arrate Eibar Eskubaloia, with 75 years of experience behind them, and Kalamua Judo Taldea, who last year blew out his 50th birthday candles.

On the other hand, all this potential is reflected, in turn, in the title that Eibar will hold this year, officially declared European City of Sport 2023. It is a recognition of high-level federated sport from Eibar, anonymous athletes, and to immaterial culture linked to sport.
