German sports television celebrates its 30th anniversary!
DSF (Deutsche Sportfernsehen/since 2010 “Sport 1”) was founded on January 1, 1993. Now, three decades later, the station is celebrating itself – including with a prominent guest on its most prominent show.
Two years after the station was founded, the legendary TV talk show “Doppelpass” was launched – a real institution in football Germany. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the station, those responsible have now invited a very special guest: Bavaria’s Honorary President Uli Hoeneß (71).
That has bang potential! Because: the two parties connect a kind of love-hate relationship.
More than twenty appearances, various phone calls and constant discussions that caused explosives: when Uli Hoeneß spoke in a one-two, it almost always made the headlines.
Unforgotten: when Hoeneß CALLED in 1996 in a double pass. The moderator at the time, Rudi Brückner (67), had criticized Hoeneß’s behavior. As a result, he foamed so much on the couch at home that he picked up the phone and rang the “double pass”.
The Hoeneß calls in a double pass have been repeated ever since. He last called in September 2022. At that time the subject of dispute: Qatar. Hoeneß messed with long-time official Andreas Rettig (59), who was on the show.
This time Hoeneß is part of the group again – in the studio. He was already one of the guests at the 25th anniversary of the Doppelpass in September 2020.
Also there on Sunday: Sport1 expert Steffen Effenberg (54). It is not yet known who else is coming.
It can be fun…
