Didier Dinart is the new coach of Ivry

Former Les Bleus player and coach Didier Dinart was appointed Monday to the post of coach of Ivry, poorly ranked in the Starligue, replacing Sébastien Quintallet, the club from the Paris suburbs announced.

Dinart, 45, had been free since leaving the post of Saudi Arabia coach in March 2022, a few weeks after leaving Cavigal de Nice, then in Proligue (3rd div.) and of which he was the manager general. He has signed up until June 2026 and will take office on Tuesday at the head of the 14th Starligue, two lengths ahead of the first relegation player, Istres.

“I am honored by the trust this historic club has in me. Together we will design the sports project for the next three and a half years. My primary objective will be to allow US Ivry to perpetuate its place at the highest level, ”said Dinart in the press release from the Val-de-Marne club.

Dinart, double Olympic champion (2008 and 2021), triple world champion (2001, 2009 and 2011) and double European champion (2006, 2010) as a player, took the reins of the Blues after the 2016 Olympics before leaving his post at the end of Euro-2020, concluded by elimination in the first round. Under his leadership, France was crowned world champion in 2017.
