The winter soccer market in Europe is just a few hours away from closing and many players are beginning to make various maneuvers to renew contracts or seek departures from their clubs in search of better growth opportunities as professionals.

One of those who decided on his future was the Colombian defender Deiver Machado, who in recent weeks had been linked to important clubs in Europe such as Atlético de Madrid or Real Sociedad, but at the end of the market closing, Machado decided to continue his career in France.

The Lens de France, a club with which he has played since 2021 and despite his rumors of leaving Ligue 1, the team’s managers decided to renew his contract until the 2026 season.

Through a video published on the official Racing Club de Lens account, the team led by Franck Haise confirmed the continuity of their defender with a legend that he was extending his contract for three more seasons.

In this way, Deiver Machado will stay in Ligue 1 with Lens and hopes to continue adding more games played, since since his arrival at the club he has played 28 games, has a goal and 2 assists.
