Cristiano Ronaldo destroys his memorial after moving to Al-Nassr – FOOTBALL INTERNATIONAL

With the luxury car brands of Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley and Co., the champagne corks will have popped two days before New Year’s Eve.

Reason: The mega change from Cristiano Ronaldo (37) to Saudi Arabia.

The Portuguese is set to pocket 500 million euros – in words: FIVE HUNDRED MILLION – at Al-Nassr FC over the next two and a half years. Half a billion euros for even more luxury that the former world-class player can afford – and certainly will. What’s more, the garages of his children and grandchildren will also be full of high-motor toys.

Did Ronaldo deserve this insane fable sum? Supply and demand. As long as there are people with endless financial resources who don’t know what to do with their money themselves… go for it.

Do you give credit to CR7 for its financial success? Naturally. Everyone should be able to get the maximum out of themselves.

Is it reprehensible to pocket the sheikh millions from Saudi Arabia? For anyone with a liberal and Western vision, it is. Yes, of course!

Can you be happy for Cristiano Ronaldo? Not me. Because the fat heap of sheik coal will bring his sporting monument to collapse even before he has actually hung up his football boots at some point.

Ronaldo like Jordan, Woods and Schumacher

Over two years kicking in a maximum third-class football league. Score goals against Ittihad, Damac and Schabab instead of Liverpool, Milan or Barcelona. Goals are celebrated in stadiums where women have only been allowed for a few years and, on average, less than 10,000 spectators per game get lost in the league. An unworthy setting for one of the best players to ever kick the planet.

And so, with the five-time world soccer player, the next one joins the list of great athletes who missed out, if not at the zenith, at least still on the mountain and not in the sporting trough of their career.

Stop while it’s still nice? Unfortunately, this did not apply to Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Michael Schumacher and many more…

So now Ronaldo’s cheering “SIIIUUUUUUU” will be silenced in the desert sands of Saudi Arabia. Away from the big stage. What a pity…
